Are Cooks Standard Setting The Standard In Cookware? Find Out In This Review

Cook Standard -- An elusive brand with diverse customer reviews.

Have you ever tried to research Cooks Standard Cookware? If you have, you'll probably find that it's challenging to find out the nitty-gritty details about this brand.

When we're reviewing products and brands for you, we like to get all-in-on-their-business.

We want to know what they are great at, what they don't excel at, and how these positives and negatives balance to benefit you. We want to know whether the smooth outweigh the rough and what compromises you may have to make to enjoy this brand.

Take non-stick for example. It's a compromise. Some people love it; others hate it. It can reduce the life of your cookware, and food isn't always quite as tasty when cooked in a non-stick pan, but for some home cooks, it's a small compromise to make when you weigh up the convenience and easy cooking experience that non-stick brings.

Cooks Standard Review

Most cooking brands are similar to non-stick; they too have pros and cons. But with Cooks Standard, it wasn't so easy to determine these because there is very little information about this brand or about the materials and technology they use.

So instead, we had to rely on our knowledge of cookware technology, the product itself and the Cooks Standard cookware reviews from their customers. It was enlightening.

Here's what we discovered about Cooks Cookware starting with who they are!

Achieve Even Cooking With Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel

We believe that all Cooks Standard Cookware is tri-ply cookware constructed with 18/10 steel and aluminum, which is clad together. The benefits of using tri-ply cookware lead to a superior cooking experience because the heat reaches the whole of the pan (including the sides) thanks to the aluminum core.

Tri-ply cookware such as the Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless steel range makes cooking easier, quicker, and tastier! Plus, the heat control is usually excellent.

And while we’re on the topic of storing you cookware ...

How To Store Cooks Standard Cookware

Even though Cooks Standard appears to claim that their cookware is scratch-resistant, we recommend you think twice before handling them like they are infallible. If you do, you might live to regret it. We’ve never found any totally indestructible cookware sets.

To protect the surface of your pans, you should be careful with how you store them.

Ideally, they should be hung or stored individually. They should never be stacked one inside the other - at least not without something to protect the base of the pans. If you do need to stack your pans because you have limited space, then you should consider placing pan mats, or even kitchen towels in between each pan to prevent damage.

The good news is that storing pans has never been easier. Cooks Standard makes a variety of well-designed wall or ceiling racks that are perfect for storing your cookware.

So now you know what products to choose, let's move onto looking at what the people who use these pans every day have to say ...

The Cooks Standard Reviews What Do The Customers Say?

We’ve looked at many a Cooks standard cookware review and have discovered something strange - customers either love this range or they hate them.

At first glance, it seems as though Cooks Standard is not the best option when it comes to cookware. However, on a second glance, and especially when we were focusing on each product, we found some pleasant surprises - six of them, which we’ve featured above.

Cooks Standard Reviews

For all of the products listed, we have found the majority of reviews to be good, with an overall rating of 4.7 stars, which is about the same type of rating as many of the ranges we have reviewed.

Tri-ply is always a good option, it is a superior construction and offers a great cooking experience, and Cooks Standard Cookware reviews reflect that. The issue that we were unable to find out too much information about the ethics and manufacturing of this cookware range. We were also unable to confirm what materials or technology is used for some of the features of the cookware, such as the non-stick coatings and aluminum core.

While there does appear to be many happy customers, there were also several poor Cooks standard reviews that didn’t seem to be merely because of poor handling of the pans, as is the case of many other brands.

This contrast, between the reviews, leads us to feel cautious about this particular range.

If you are concerned with the source of the cookware or the formula of the non-stick coating, you may prefer to choose a different brand. You may also prefer a different brand if you want to guarantee that the cookware you buy will last many years. Mainly because there are cookware brands, who offer a lifetime guarantee, or a limited lifetime guarantee. These same brands are usually transparent about the materials they use too.

Brands like Circulon or the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro might be better options for you if you’d prefer some extra reassurance and clarity that your cookware will last and will be safe.

But of course, other people don’t mind these issues or already trust the Cooks Standard range from experience, and in that case, we believe the products highlighted above are the best options from the range.

Conclusion

Cooks Standard Cookware certainly has several cookware pieces that appear to be pleasing their customers and to us. They also seem to be designed with usability and convenience in mind.

The non-stick coatings on the fry pans, along with other stainless steel pans are perfect for browning and caramelization. At the same time, the tri-ply cookware design demonstrates knowledge and experience with premium-quality cookware.

The brand does not seem to be open about how they make their products. Or what materials are involved precisely. This raises concerns. Mainly because this brand is not cheap, and many of our readers are concerned with healthy and safe cooking. That’s something we cannot 100% guarantee because we don’t know what type of non-stick coating features on these pans, or how they perform over time.

This means you should apply caution before considering this range, at least until the manufacturer begins to share these important details - if they ever will. We recommend you read the customer reviews carefully before purchasing or selecting an alternative brand such as All-Clad, Circulon, or Cuisinart. You may find this article useful to help you decide which cookware ranges are the best option for you.
